Daneridge Great Danes Puppy Information

     Daneridge Harlequins is NOT a commercial kennel, I am a small hobby breeder. I began in 1958 when I purchased my first Great Dane and began showing in Obedience. I am a member of the Great Dane Club of America and the Great Dane Club of California.

     My sole purpose when I breed is to produce something very specific and special for myself, in order to show and improve the Great Dane breed. My goal at Daneridge Harlequins is to breed quality working dogs with excellent temperament, soundness, intelligence and type for home companions and/or show prospects. I keep 1 or 2 pups for myself; the rest are sold as pets and show potentials.

     There are only 3 SHOW COLORS born in a harlequin litter Harlequin and Mantle (and sometimes Black). Please check my PLANNED BREEDINGS to see the SIRE and DAM of upcoming litters, then, check the PUPPY PAGE for pictures of new litters. My pet marked puppies are sold on limited registration. There are several other colors of various combinations Mis-marked mantles, mis-marked harls and merles these are the PET COLORS born to a harlequin litter, with the same wonderful qualities as the show marked puppies.

     My Great Danes are from the best bloodlines that I can find and produce. The purpose when I breed is for Show Dogs. Both, Sire/Dam have had hips certified I have taken every reasonable precaution to insure that the puppy is healthy and free from hereditary defects. When the puppies are ready to join their new families, they have been wormed and had their first shot.

     I begin taking deposits after the litter is born, as there is no way of knowing what colors and markings or what sex the puppies will be. I then require a $200.00 non-refundable deposit to hold the puppy of your choice. I generally don't ship puppies until they are 8 weeks old. Daneridge Harlequin Great Danes has the right to refuse the sale of a puppy to anyone for any reason. Daneridge Harlequins always has first pick(s).
